LONMAR GLOBAL RISKS LIMITED commenced trading in 1977 as Steel Burrill Jones Limited.
Operating as SBJ Global Risks, the company was a subsidiary of SBJ Group Limited until the group was acquired by AXA in 2008.
In 2009 the directors of SBJ Global Risks led a management buyout and the business was rebranded as LONMAR GLOBAL RISKS in March 2010.
In 2016 Global Risk Partners Limited (GRP), an insurance broking and MGA investment vehicle, backed a further management buyout of the company. Lonmar continues to trade as an independent Lloyd’s broker supported by the GRP group.
